They're good How did you paint them ? 'Fex looks huge by the way I didn't take any stage photos or anything, but I mixed blood red and ultramarine blue to get the purple base coat, overbrushed a layer of that, following with several drybrushed highlights of purple and skull white mix. The carapace was a drybrush of graveyard earth (I think), followed by a few drybrushed highlights of graveyard earth and skull white mix. The eyes were painted blood red, the teeth and fleshborer 'ammo' was painted the same way as the carapace and the green bits were overbrushed in dark angels green followed by a few highlights of dark angels green and skull white mix.

Thing is though, when you come to paint the Fex, or more gribblies, could you accurately reproduce your mixes ? Or have you put them into empty pots ?

...not exactly accurate though, but I do remix the colours on a bit of wood (The red is too dry to put in a seperate pot if I wanted to do that...), so sometimes I do get variating hues beween each model... I think its going to take a while for me to get through much between now and leaving college, despite me finishing the last of my exams today! W00t!

Still haven't finished though. Got some tank bustas to do as well for a tourney next week (That would be for another thread), so I've got a while yet before I do finish it.

A month later (and a treble post, naughty! ) I've now edged towards 800-900 pnts. I've finished the 8-model squad of devourer-armed termagants (They were both difficult to paint and I didn't have the enthusiasm to paint them, which is why it took so long!) and I've also added a 10-model Hormagaunt squad (which were surprisingly easy to paint.), 2 3-model spore mine clusters (one frag and one acid, and were even easier and quicker to paint!) and 3 more warriors. Pictures will come tommorrow, along with a WIP Hive tyrant...

I always find my armies are too 'clean'. Must come from my Marine upbringing

Ah yea, forgot about this... The 'nids, along with all my other stuff, have been put on the back burner for now. Some day I might get round to picking up where I left off, but not just yet...
