why dose nobody like dark eldar? they are fast, they shoot lots and they can embark and disembark from vheicles in the same turn, they have weak armour, so what, thats why you have to get them into cover, they have the same Bs and WS as space merines and initiative 5 but everyone hates them, why?
P.S space merines suck!

not everybody hates them.
i quite like them. their stats are good and their warrior and vehicle models are amazing. their characters dont look all that good and their S&T is nothing to be proud of. they are too frail for me. other than that i like them.

I think they just don't look right. They are supposed to be evil, sadistic, twisted aliens, yet they just look like ponces in funny suits  They just don't have the same bulky feel that a Space Marine (loyalist or not) has, or failing that 150 Imperial Guard |

did you know all armies from 40k and basic warhammer are related?
necrons = undead
dark eldar = dark elves
eldar = high elves
space merines = empire
imperial guard = bertronians (is that spelled right?)
tyranids = skaven
orks = orks and goblins
there are probarbly more

Slaan=Lizardmen When I went to the GT I asked a judge If I could make a Slaan army using the Eldar army list. After about an hour discussing it with the other judges they said no, and that if I wanted to use the Eldar army list the models had to be Eldar. A bit obvious, but it was worth a try...  |

Slaan did have an army in 1st edition of fantasy they had the first cold ones and also the lizardmen were a small part of them (bit like ogryns 4 IG) they all basically looked like huge bullfrogs...

strange that slaan thing big army of frogs with limited lizard units turns into army of lizards with one frog. I want to see some of those old slann units

Two cures for that; converting and green stuff! When 3rd edition first came out I went to GW Portsmouth and had a demo game (with me being DE) and really liked them. I was going to get some after the game but my parents stopped me (I still had my badly painted, unifinshed ork army to finish first, which never got finished at all!* I'm not sure if the DE codex on the online store is the updated one** or the original. If the former I may get it whilst it's still cheap, as I doubt they would be updating it again any time soon... *Composed mainly of the 2nd edition plastic orks/grots. I only have one such ork in my new ork army... **Similar to the Dark Angel update. They haven't had a full revamp just yet... |

if you put to much bulk and spikes on, u draw a fine line between DE and CSM so be careful not 2 many spikes!

I'm not a big fan of those flimsy spikes, but something like a GS cloak would be good...
I have yet to finish my Tyranid army (to 1,500pnts that is...), and I may move on to another army other than DE, but it's still an idea...

perhaps a little more gruesomnes on them perhaps a head in the belt or a neckjlace of toe's
lol anyway they still look like traffic cones to me but are deadly they need a bit of work though an Ork update would be much apreciated by many Ork players i know but then after that Dark eldar then who knows
