There have always been those who absolutly like Necrons and those who cring every time they play them. What is it do you think that causes this? The most common argument seems to be the C'tan. Although the book lets you field them in (almost) any game, most players refuse to play against them. They can't be that unbalanced, surely?
Could it be the 'we'll be back!' rolls, even though units without the proper back-up don't get the full benefit of it?
You say...

I think many people probably are caught up by the 'We'll be back' rule, and just look at them as death spitting robots that will die and then jump back up.
People may start to think similary of the 'Nids, and their new rules saying middle/heavyweights (generally speaking) get roll against auto kill weapons.

It's a fair rule (to a certain extent), but remember that if you wipe out a whole squad and there is another duplicate of it nearby it can't resurrect. People may start to think similary of the 'Nids, and their new rules saying middle/heavyweights (generally speaking) get roll against auto kill weapons. You have to roll for it? I thought you didn't need to.

Looking at the insert on page 42 (WD306) It doesn't say anything about a roll to see if the power works. What you do need to roll for is the regenerate biomorph, which one of the carnefex's has in the battle report. Shame you need to roll 6s though (see insert page 47)

Shame you need to roll 6s though (see insert page 47) Fair enough then, must of just mis-enterpretted it. If it was any less than a 6 then people would field armies (hordes ) containing as many possible 'Fex's as possible, all with extended carapace and regeneration. And I think you can get about 5 legal 'Fex's ( ) in a 2,000 point army.

I don't know what the point cap is before 'fexes are entitled to the elite spot, yet I've only got to wait for this weekend to find that out.

uve got a point tho at my GW i rarely lose ;D but im not cocky and i do tell ppl where they r goin rong etc but they r still scarred when they c round about 40-50 necrons on the field but then the only real army i have trouble with is tau who just sit around bast me but them i just teleport a few units here and there and his plan of stand and shoot is in taters MUHAHAHAHAH

again, please punctuation and grammar, it makes everything look so much better and is so much easier for everyone to read. thank you.
tau really dont have anything that should really worry necrons. nothing can really kill them easily en masse. i would have thought eldar would be a bigger problem. howling banshees, starcannons and plenty of AP2 stuff should be a pain. tau are also a lot worse in combat, and there average shootin ability should make up for the amount of guns they may have.

sorry again
but honestly those tau suits witht eh BIG strength 10 guns *the battle suits* do my head in the fire and then jump away out of my range
though a quick blast from my destroyers always does the trick
i do have a tomb spider monolith and reserection orb so my army is well protected form power weps etc
1 of my best battles was when a unit of khorne berserkers chaged my warriors and my warriors kicked them badly being able to suck up all the damage also my lords a little nifty charachter he so far has killed just about every HQ or special charachter exept airhiman *sp?* and shirke from the raven wing hes always killed HQ choices and earned him the title of hero slayer its pretty neat when a new player challenges you due to my reputation but most battles theses days i lose a single model and thats it
abut eldar i find them a challenge but its quite easy once you learn the enemys tactics a couple of howling banshees running acorss the board doesnt worry me with 30 warriors dead ahead of them backed up with destroyers monolith and all that i can usually shoot down most assualt based armies but Orks i find them a challenge ther just to many nids are quite easy aswell but orks are my 1. enemy although it just seems as if they go CHARGE!!!! they actually move arond so that if you shoot too many in 1 unit theres another 40 still coming from the other side thatas les see 40 x 4 *i think* = 160 attacks sooo ermm im kinda dead (er) at this point but orks dont have many anti tank weapons so thats a bonus

broadside battlesuits cannot jump, so whoever you play is cheating. the only way they can move and fire weapons is with the advanced stabalisers upgrade. make sure the person has those before they start moving. even then, the shouldnt be able to move after firing.
