i think they are quite good i mean these guys dont go for number weapons or armour they go for tactics

i love dark eldar tanks, talos, warriors, wyches and incubi. however i am not a fan of the other stuff and i think even though their soldiers are awesome (stats and lookswise) their weapons are too weak. it is that that put me off remotely considering them.

yeah the warriors are cool, most of their other models need to be updated though

i expect the dark eldar will be the last codex to be re-done, though it should have been among the first

yeah, but then again there's all the space marine supplements that also need to be updated, and orks, and they still need to finish alien hunters

thats what im saying. they will be last, but should be among the first along with orks.

we certainly dont need anymore space marine stuff and xenos hunters, well, i dunno about those but i dont think we are in desparate need of yet another imperial force.

I've been playing Dark Eldar since they were first released in 98, and they're one of the harshest armies to take.
the codex gives pure beard on the hq and elites front, their troops are medicore but servicable, and their heavy support has one beardy choice, but otherwise therir fast attack and heavy support consist of shoddy rush-jobs like adding extra guns to a raider and charging double the points for it, and jetbikes that are pretty ineffective in combat and utterly hopeless at renge.

in regards to ineffective ranged weapons; the only units I bother to shoot with are basic sized warrior squads fitted with dark lances
